My client is a leading multifaceted organisation. This role will be working in its Water business
1. Responsible for the effective and profitable conduct of the value delivery function of his/her assigned territory.
2. Primarily focused on growing & maintaining existing accounts.
3. Works with current customers to provide value & meet service needs.
4. Participates in plant visits to gather samples, observe instruments, and obtain information and analyzes/interpret results and reports any corrective actions to the customer.
5. Participates in sales calls for new accounts upon request by the growth team.
6. Outlines, presents and sells the value of our products and services that can benefit our customer needs.
7. Conducts required training of operating personnel to ensure their understanding of the parameters under which their equipment operates.
8. Builds upon internal relationships and starts to develop strong relationships with customers.
9. Ensures profitability of accounts within an assigned territory through proper pricing and contract management as well as service time.
10. Partners with peers and management to enhance selling techniques and approaches.
11. Effectively coordinates relationships and interfaces with Commercial Operations, Technical Marketing, Product management and other functions.
12. Documentation of observations at plant visits updates and contributes final reports intended for an internal audience.
13. Is able to effectively manage time and budget or expense parameters.
Requirements:
• B.S. in Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering; Biology or Chemistry
• Minimum of 3 years general sales experience
• Willingness to reside in location of posting and willingness to travel within territory
• Sales experience in the water treatment business preferably in Africa
• A great passion for selling and winning
• Demonstrated sales/people skills and/or aptitude
• Candidate should have a proven sales record or show that he/she has the aptitude to succeed in a technical and relationship driven business
• Demonstrated computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
• The candidate must have personality traits that include integrity, tenacity, perseverance, empathy, and a can-do, positive attitude
• The candidate must be willing to work independently (after proper training) and be a self-starter
• The candidate must possess solid communication skills (both written and verbal)
• The candidate must possess good troubleshooting skills
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours, at times, and be a team player. Flexibility is a must. |
