Our client a world class organisation, providing innovative power solutions to our customers across the world is urgently looking for Area Sales Manager - for Azerbaijan (Baku). We have an inviable broad-based portfolio, with leading positions in each of the global markets in which we operate.
The Sales Manager will Typically:
1 Provide a professional focus for all aspects of the customer interface for marketing and selling the CSB products for the installed fleet with the designated territory.
2 Develop and implement sales strategies in line with agreed business objectives.
3 To work as part of a regional sales team, making contributions to the overall objectives of that team.
4 Achieve annual order intake targets / business commitments, in line with BDP, for Parts, Engineered Solutions, Service and new engines, for the Territory.
5 To provide sales forecast information to senior management indicating order intake targets such as closure date, price, margin, scope etc.
6 Work with the Engineering Solutions' marketing and proposals team to develop appropriate solutions to best meet the customer s requirements. Full liaison with the proposals and engineering groups in the production of tenders.
7 Liaison and co-operation with the Business Development Group to agree joint approaches and to maximise the effect of our efforts.
8 To ensure that technical and commercial conditions are negotiated within company guidelines and to confirm this through internal reviews.
9 Attend/arrange customer meetings, make presentations to existing and new clients, negotiate and close CSB product sales.
10 Gather and compile data on competitors, customers, and product development for the Business and Development Group.
11 Maintain and develop long term customer relationships within the assigned territory, acting at all times to maintain and enhance the company s reputation in the marketplace.
12 To maximise own customer contact by efficiently planning sales trips, visits, prioritising in line with business objectives and make the most effective use of resources.
13 Monitor and develop the effectiveness of Commercial Advisers within the territory and complete the annual assessment report for each adviser.

• Effectiveness of use of engineering and proposals resources
• Relevance and usefulness of sales planning for territories
• Timely completion of department reports meeting agreed schedules.
Engineering Degree or equivalent in mechanical, electrical or business discipline.
• Should be self-motivated and a creative problem solver.
• Good IT skills; Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
• Good interpersonal and presentation skills will be essential.
• Good written skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Must be punctual with good time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
• In-depth knowledge of company s products, package systems and services.
• Experience in commercial and technical aspects of gas turbines or similar high-value capital equipment service proposals would be beneficial.
• A proven track record in contract sales and negotiation is essential. A good grounding in contract law would be beneficial.
• Be willing and prepared to travel overseas at short notice.
