JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure all aspects of Contract management are being performed and the contact files are documented properly to support the Subcontractor on Subcontractor's claims and disputes to the Contractor
• Coordinates with Subcontractor's operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations, contract performance, contract administration and other major matters
• Develop contractual claims for the Subcontractor
• Negotiation with the Contractor/Contractor's representative to settle claims and variations
• Prepares periodic reports to Subcontractor's Management
• Ensuring that the Subcontractor's contractual correspondence is responded to in a timely manner in accordance with the relevant contract terms.
• Perform contract administration functions including reviews of the Subcontractor's submittal to the owner from contractual viewpoints and advices the Subcontractor's Project Manager on the appropriate responses
• Establish a robust and consistent change control processes and procedures.
• Advice Subcontractor on legal and contractual matters
• Liaised with Subcontractor's regarding their interim monthly payments and for final payment certificate
Requirements:
KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS:
• BsC in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management or Cost Engineering
• Minimum 15 years experience (4 years must be on overseas project preferably Asia, Africa and Middle East etc.)
• Demonstrated experience in developing complex contract types, fees arrangements, terms and conditions
• Wide knowledge in Contract Administration
• Knowledge of change management procedures with regards to Request for Information (RFI) - Variation Orders, Amendments and Claims and Dispute resolution
• Skills in working and communicating effectively with all levels of project functional groups in a multi discipline construction environment
• Quantity Surveying skill is an asset
• Proficiency in contract verbalism, good report writing, analytical and computer skills
• Fluent in English communication (written and verbal)
