Basic Function of Job:
To draft and execute company strategy for sustainable growth and profitability, to ensure legal compliance and good governance, to build a team and culture to support the company strategy and to manage the day-to-day operations
Duties and Responsibilities:
Planning:
Drafting and presentation of company strategy and vision for sustainable growth and profitability
Execution of strategy and tactical plans
Provide leadership
Human Resources:
To effectively manage the company's human resources and recruit talent when needed
Building the company culture to support the company strategy
Team building to ensure optimum performance of all employees
Employee performance management and evaluation
Financial:
Prepare, table and report the yearly budget, updated quarterly
Manage financial resources within budget guidelines and current law and regulations
Marketing and Public Relations:
Assist with high level marketing and customer entertainment
Assist and oversee tender preparations
Responsible for all public relations
Management:
Oversee daily operations
Responsible for company quality management and occupational health and safety
Update procedures to support company strategy and to improve efficiency
Support operations and administration of the board of directors
Key Performance Index:
Effectiveness of the strategy and strategy execution
Effective use and coherence of human resources
Timeous presentation of budgets, financial and other reports
Effective market communication and public relations
Efficient company operation and improved policies and procedures
Education/Qualification:
Four year technical or engineering degree or diploma
Post graduate business degree such as MBA
Specialist Knowledge:
Must understand the typical problems faced by research and development teams.
Practical Experience:
Technical experience in a research and development environment
Experience in the management of technical teams
3 to 5 years management experience at executive level
Experience in the telecommunication environment

Attention to detail will be key in this role, as well as the ability to develop and sustain relationships within the industry.
