Asset Management Job Saudi Arabia
Vice President, Institutional Business Development
Based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and reporting both to the country CEO and Head of the Asset Management business, you will be responsible for the development of the firm’s institutional client base specifically marketing and advising existing and prospective clients on the firm’s range of investment products. Therefore Product Development experience and nuances of asset allocation, portfolio management and an understanding of risk/return as well as commercial or client-facing business development expertise is required in this role.
Ideally, you will have portfolio management experience gained from a reputable buy-side fund management firm or banking institution, preferably within the GCC region. You should also be fully knowledgeable and conversant on a wide range of asset classes and investment products.
Eventually based on success you will be able to develop and motivate your own team.
Our client is a leading regional investment and merchant banking group providing a wide range of investment, advisory and fund management services to a substantial client base that includes financial and government institutions, corporates and HNWI’s. Its successful asset management arm offers both regional and international expertise. The team currently manages a range of investment funds that are divided by thematic, geographical and sectoral plays with a strong MENA focus.
As part of its ongoing regional expansion, the group is now looking to further develop its presence in Saudi Arabia. It is seeking to hire a business development professional to attract and develop the client base in order to strengthen the asset management business, as well facilitate expansion of its Saudi operation.
Requirements
• Educated to degree level
• A minimum of 10 years experience is required with 3 - 5 years gained in the GCC. This should include both buyside as well as previous sales experience gained in a client facing role. Strong investment background and knowledge of different investment products is also required.
• Ability to communicate clearly, knowledgeably and persuasively with diverse investment groups, e.g. corporate managements, institutional & banking clients, investment management firms, etc.
• Strong sales and investor relation skills
• Strong command of English language (Arabic would be an added advantage) and excellent presentation skills.
• Self-starter and an ability to work under pressure.
