Job Purpose:
Fabricates different types of materials works needed for assembling buses and welds metal components together with brazing and variety of arc and gas welding equipment for buses under assembly at the bus factory by performing the following duties.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Fabricates the required bus components needed to be assembled in accordance to the pre set specifications and measurements.
2. Assists bus assembling team in installing the fabricated materials.
3. Interprets bus specifications, assembling diagrams, and blueprints for obtaining correct measurement and dimensions to execute fabrications.
4. Welds metal parts together using gas, electric or mig welding processes.
5. Carries out cutting of metal and rubber parts needed for required in the assembly operations.
6. Performs related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding.
7. Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes.
8. Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.
9. Mounts bus seats and installs all windows components and glasses according pre given specifications.
10. Re-inspects all completed assembly works to ensure compliance with specification and quality before handing over the equipment.
11. Contributes in the general safety and housekeeping of the factory and keeps his tools secured and clean.
12. Carries out any other task that may be assigned to him by the factory supervisor with in the capacity of his profession.
Skills
1. Two to three years related experience as a fabricator/welder at an automobile assembly factory preferable at a bus assembly factory.
2. Team work attitude.
3. Oriented for his safety and the safety of others
4. Skilled in fabrications and all types welding technique
5. Knowledgeable in using fabrication powered and hand tools.
6. English/Arabic Languages fluency.
