We require a motivated and experienced Financial Accountant to support the Regional Finance Manager and assist in managing the finance function and implement a new SAP system.
You will work closely with the management team of our client in Bahrain, as well as the Group Financial Controller to assist in developing the future direction of the business, and will have a key role in the achievement of profitable growth for the company.Your contribution will be both strategic and operational, and includes as a priority the efficient running and control of the Middle East finance functions located in each country.Improving the profit and cash performance of the Gulf region will be key measures of success.
Key responsibilities include:
Supervising production and reporting of monthly management accounts for all Gulf entities
Ensuring group procedures and controls are operated
Providing the local management team and project teams with the commercial, financial and risk management assistance it requires in the estimation and management of, and reporting on projects
Meeting Group reporting requirements for monthly financial, cash flow, budgets and other ad hoc information
Assisting the Regional Finance Manager in ensuring that the finance function is resourced and structured effectively and efficiently and that its employees are operating in an efficient, effective and control conscious manner.This will cover the following activities: accounts payable and receivable, payroll, project accounting, cash flow, bonding and treasury management, budgeting, forecasting and planning.
Ensuring that the cash and foreign exchange are appropriately managed in line with Group policies and requirements
Working with the Commercial team to enhance linkages to Cost Control System for projects
Assist in the implementation of Group management information systems
Overseeing financial compliance, including all aspects of taxation and company law, in each of the jurisdictions in the group
Dealing with annual audits (both local and Irish) and responsibility for local compliance in accounting, currency control, taxation and statutory returns etc
Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience:
Qualified Accountant and member of an internationally recognised accountancy body
Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience
Knowledge of IFRS and project reporting
Commercial approach
System roll out experience (not necessarily SAP)
Strong system and BPR skills
Group reporting experience and dealing with overseas entities
