To identify, build, develop, operate, maintain and refresh strategy of the Group's internal systems and network to ensure the delivery of high quality day to day support levels in order to achieve the Group's current and future organizational and strategic goals.
1. Contribute to developing short and long range IT plans aligned with strategic business objectives. Identify, prioritize, develop, manage, and drive detailed project plans that culminate in the delivery of end to end solutions for assigned customer segments. Interface with multiple departments in the Group and externally, as required. Ensure project compliance and regulatory standards are followed at all times and that projects are completed in a timely, cost-effective manner. Ensure operational risk issues are identified and pro-actively managed to minimize risk for the Company.
2. Manage all network technical and operational standards including Change Management, Incident management and Problem Management so as to ensure near 100% uptime for the entire infrastructure.
3. Lead, manage and develop the IT team responsible for core IT Operations - Network Administration, Network Security, Messaging Systems, Data Centre Operations, Storage Management, Disaster Recovery, Helpdesk, Network and Voice services.
4. Ensure the smooth operation, availability, scalability, and security of all business information systems and networks in the Group.
5. Decision making on introduction of new technologies, software and product evaluation including the design, development and implementation of new data centre services, to include all WAN interconnections including circuit planning, ordering, installation, testing and debugging. Also includes overseeing the documentation and ongoing records management for all systems within the data centre.
6. Oversee the maintenance and support of capacity planning process and tools necessary to log and retain historical capacity planning data for mainframes and distributed systems as well as ongoing operation of all hosted applications including system administration, back-up and recovery to ensure that the resources are available to meet business needs.
7. Develop, monitor and manage the department's annual budget.
8. Meeting and evangelizing with customers regarding networking capabilities, strengths and opportunity areas.
9. Build, coordinate and maintain business relationships with external partners for IT Operations (Hardware and Software suppliers) to ensure quality and timely availability of required resources and support.
10. Develop, implement and enforce compliance to IT Policies and procedures for the Group and its businesses and responsible to increase effective usage of the system/ software (ORACLE) and information by all the business at each level so that the Group and the business take full advantage of the group's investment in IT.
Requirements:
B.E. or B.Tech with 15 years of experience desirable in process or manufacturing industry
M.E. or M.Tech desirable with 10 years of experience
MBA in IT/Systems would be an added advantage
Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE), (MCSA). Preferred CISCO Certified Internet Expert (CCIE) and/or CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
Experience at a Senior Level Software Consultant with Oracle background
Must possess valid UAE D/L and should be willing to manage offices at multiple site locations.
Experience of working as head of IT support service group in a large enterprise having a minimum of 1000 users and 20 team members.
Should have handled IT budget of 3 to 5 Million Dollars
• Knowledge of CISCO Routers.
• Knowledge of Exchange server
• Hands-on Experience in VOIP, Telecom (telephonic system)
• Knowledge and experience in managing contractual agreements with third party vendors
• Excellent knowledge of software development, information security, security strategies, ERP advisory (in manufacturing industry), IT strategy, IT program management and IT risk |
