Their client is looking for DEVELOPMENT GEOLOGISTS to join their subsurface team in Iraq.
• Candidates will be fluent in English and possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Past experience working in a multi-cultural environment is beneficial.
• Candidates must have degree in Geology or Geophysics
• Geologic interpretation with a focus on:
• Clastic sedimentology
• Sedimentary facies & depositional environment analysis
• Sequence stratigraphic interpretation using well log, core, biostratigraphic and seismic data
• Structural styles
• Fault seal analysis
• Log analysis
• Some basic knowledge of petroleum geochemistry and basin modeling.
• Generation of prospects in a team environment for drilling and present to governmental organizations for approval.
• Preparing, monitoring and evaluating drilling programs.
• Coordination with vendors regarding logging programs, rock analysis (core & cuttings), geochemistry, and biostratigraphy.
• Familiarity with probabilistic assessment techniques for hydrocarbon prospects.
• Assessment and improvement of existing field production techniques (i.e. waterflood, etc.)
• Experience within the Oil and Gas Sector is a must and exposure in the Middle East a plus.
