A top tier Asset Management business seeks to attract an exceptional individual to join their newly established Head office based in Bahrain as the Group Accountant. Working closely with some of the most prominent figures within the Asset Management industry, this role will entail a broad range of accountabilities. The role will be responsible for Financial Accounting across the principal legal entities, coordinating audits, Management Accounting, Tax Planning and assisting with a global Systems Implementation project. Additionally, the role will manage two Financial Controllers, Present to the Board and assist the Special Projects Group in establishing new Joint Ventures. The role reports directly into the Group CFO, the role will be based in Bahrain but will entail significant travel to Hong Kong and London. Due to the high profile nature of the role, the applicant must have exceptional interpersonal skills and a broad knowledge of accounting (an accountancy qualification is also mandatory). Experience within a top tier firm within the Hedge Fund/PE industry is highly desirable.
