Our client is an environmental services company specialized in the cleaning, collection, recovery and disposal of waste. A new role for the business the HSE Manager will review the company operations and design and implement a HSE plan to suit.

Requirements:
Responsibilities (Including but not restricted to):

Develop/Implement HSE standards & regulations at the project sites in line with company commitment to HSE policies and procedures.

Writing the generic HSE manuals or books for all companies and the pertaining policies, procedures and working instructions

Project cost of implementing the HSE plan both on the corporate level and for activities (many options devised), the budget will follow. (Once approved, the HSE plan shall be a project programmed activity with trainings, implementation schedules and KPIs.)

Ensure implementation of HSE plans, regulations, policies and procedures at project site.

Ensure installation of proper preventive measures.

Ensure development and implementation of safety talks for site workforce.

Training of site staff on HSE matters.

Conducts hazards identification, risk assessments and risk management.

Ensures proper reporting, investigation, correctives measures, and follow-up of incidents & accidents and set a mechanism to minimize them.

Manage and maintain all site safety documentation in order for information to be organized coherently and made accessible for necessary persons.

Execute regular checks in order to produce concise and accurate risk assessment reports for site activities

Undertake monthly HSE audits of all company's sites in order to submit accurate and timely information for potential action and managerial review.

The successful candidate will come from an industrial or waste environment and preferable have a degree in Civil /Mechanical engineering (or safety Engineering). The role will be based from Lebanon with travel across the Middle East.

The client has a strong preference for the appointee to be Lebanese, Scandanavian, Australian or South African - other nationalities need not apply.
