The Executive Manager is responsible for the management of the department functions of the Bank. He overseas and spearheads all activities in the divisions. Handles day-to-day operational management of the new Islamic Banking venture, including building the business, developing customer & client relationships and setting up systems and processes. Ensuring that the division is profitable. Sources, originates and structures Islamic deals.

Main Duties

• Handles all aspects relating to Islamic Banking activities. These activities could be front office applications such as Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Trade Finance, Investment Banking, or Treasury.

• Marketing by attracting new clients accounts (assets and liabilities) and service their need.

• Communicate with other regional and international Islamic Banks and Islamic windows to identify opportunities and areas of growth.

• Oversees the development of an Islamic legal documentation, forms, marketing material, accounting standard, IT system, polices and procedures.

• Responsible for achieving the Department agreed financial budget in terms of revenue and net profit.

Essential Qualifications/ Experience Required

• University Degree in Banking / Business Administration - preferable with MBA in Finance

• Min. of 10-15 years banking experience

• Hands on experience in Islamic Banking.

• Good knowledge and understanding of legal aspects of business, financial accounting and various financial instruments & structures

• High level of communication skills in English and Arabic

• Good computer capabilities.
