Head of HR, Africa - based in Kenya

My client is a global financial services firm, with a strong brand name and a growing presence across the Middle East and Africa region, as well as good coverage elsewhere in the world. They are looking to recruit a Head of HR to be based in Kenya and look after a dedicated population across the Africa region. You will be responsible for shaping the strategic direction of HR policy in line with business objectives, and then implementing this strategy through in-Country HR teams. You will need to revamp HR policies and procedures, look at ways to standardise the region while still taking into account country differences, and ensure that the overall bar remains high for HR Service and delivery.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be a senior HR professional, with proven experience of operating at a regional level and a specific focus on Africa - ideally from having been based in the region rather than looking after it remotely. You will need to be very credible, able to work with everyone from senior business leaders to HR Heads to Union representatives, and have extremely strong written and verbal communication skills.
