Primary Purpose of the Job
• Undertakes fiscal, safety, and engineering responsibilities for major rotating equipment in Dukhan field maintenance sections, coordinating maintenance activities in support of Production operations.
• Ensures through the implementation of planned maintenance programs, the safe, reliable, and cost effective performance of all major rotating equipment located in his area of responsibility.
• Provides a Specialist Technical service within the Engineering Operations Division on all aspects of Major Rotating Equipment and Design.
• Responsible for Co-ordination/Preparation of field wide station shutdowns, Scope of Works, Contracts and Execution/management of the same.
• Responsible for all activities pertaining to Predictive, Preventive, Routine inspection, Breakdown repair and Overhaul of a wide variety of Major Rotating equipment.
• Attends and approves FAT's on new items of equipment or upgrades of existing plant systems or machinery.
• Prepares, monitors and manages Vendor support packages and call off contracts for rotating equipment.
• Prepares and manages material requisitions and PP's to ensure continuous availability of all rotating equipment.

Requirements:
EDUCATION
• B. Sc. in Engineering. Membership of an appropriate professional body.
• Good knowledge of English, in both written and spoken.

EXPERIENCE
• At least 18 years experience as a Maintenance Engineer in the Maintenance, Overhaul, Inspection, Repair and Modification of a wide range of Major rotating, Stationary and associated equipment in gas collection and distribution plants, power stations and central workshops within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Hands-on experience on condition monitoring/trending techniques and PLC's, DCS control systems.
