King's Academy is an independent, coeducational boarding and day school, providing outstanding young men and women from Jordan, the Middle East and beyond an educational experience unlike any available in the region. Encompassing 23 major buildings across a sprawling 144-acre campus, King's Academy features state-of-the-art classrooms, laboratories and a 50,000-volume library, a multi-faith spiritual center and garden, dormitories with faculty family apartments, and a magnificent auditorium that serves the school and the community at large.Reporting to the board of trustees, the Head of School is the chief academic and administrative officer. The Head of School will also be expected to create and foster a cordial reporting relationship with His Majesty King Abdullah II. The Head of School is responsible for executing the Academy's vision and mission, ensuring the highest academic standards and the institution's ongoing growth and success. The Head of School must embrace and further the unique ethos of King's Academy. The anticipated start date is no later than August 2010.
