We are currently seeking a Horticultural Inspector to work on one of our projects in Al Ain, UAE
This position will be responsible for supervising the field inspection program by formulating and devising standardized inspection methods and procedures.

Responsibilities:
• Supervision and oversight of inspection team.
• Responsible for the inspection of plants and plant products to prevent and/or control movement of insect pests and plant diseases.
• Inspect and obtain for laboratory analysis, sample of seeds and soil.
• Assist with the inspection of completed work. Monitor the start-up,
• Maintain records of tests performed and work executed.
• Ensuring that responses are complete and in compliance with the contract documents. Where problems are found, work with Project Engineer to resolve.
• Implement corrective actions.
• Audit inspections for conformity to contract documents and contractor submitted plans

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Engineering or Horticultural Engineering.
• Knowledge in planning, management and maintenance.
• Knowledge of local laws on programs pertaining to inspection, certification and quarantine of horticultural and plant products, diseases and pests.
• Must be pro-active, adaptable and a motivated team player.
• Must have excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Accuracy and precision of work and gives attention to details.
• Must be a self-starter and possess leadership qualities.
• Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
• Accountability for assigned work.
• 7+ years experience in horticultural or agricultural engineering.
