This organisation is a leading resources company within the region.

They require a M&A Manager to manage the business growth through acquisitions, leads and supports the strategic evaluation, financial analysis and execution of acquisitions, investments, joint ventures and divestitures.

You will manages acquisition projects across the business units as well as be assigned a focus area within one or two business units in acquisition projects. You will coordinate and closely work with cross-functional teams (i,e, finance, human resources, resourcing, project management) in analyzing and executing acquisition transactions.

You will be exposed to high profile and global investment banks adjacent to the process.

Requirements:
To be considered for this role you will have the following qualifications:

CPA required
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or Economics
MA/MBA desired

In addition you will have around 10 years total work experience including a minimum of 4-5 years experience in investment banking, management consulting and/or business development.

You will have:
• Direct experience in M&A execution and integration
• Good understanding of the resources industry
• Superior skills in strategic and financial analysis as well as strong communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams
• Ability to write detailed, articulate reports of findings is essential.
• Strong writing skills are required.
• Must be proficient at communicating quantitative information.
• Strong verbal communication skills and executive presence are essential. Discussions are often at the CEO, CFO and controller levels of the organization.
• Ability to work in teams with lawyers, investment bankers and management and financial consultants is essential.
• Must be able to work very effectively with client, other professional advisors, and other members of the business team.
