General National Maritime Transportation Company through subsidiaries and vessels owned by single purpose companies wholly owned subsidiaries of GNMTC, engage primarily in the ownership and operation of oil tankers, including Clean Product and (LPG) carriers. The company transports crude oil and operates tankers of one size, Aframax, which are vessels between 70,000 and 115,000 dwt. Its Aframaxes are used for the transportation of crude oil from Sirt Gulf to the Southern and Northern Europe.
Its customers include oil companies, petroleum products traders, government agencies, and various other entities. As of June 31, 2007, GNMTC's tanker fleet consisted of 10 vessels. The company was founded in 1975 and is based in Tripoli, Libya. |
