An international company is seeking to establish a team of talented professionals tasked as a Project Management Unit. This Unit will be responsible for getting a business off the ground after an acquisition or through new business start up. It will be an exciting and demanding opportunity for those involved with a great amount of job satisfaction and reward.
1. Is responsible for setting up and implementing the policies & plans set for the project, and for supervising & coordinating the activities of the Operations.
2. Monitors, audits and improves the Operations activities to insure the implementation of best practices.
3. Plans for special projects as per management request, prepares related studies and reports and properly follows on it.
4. Establishes work standards and amends the adopted plans and procedures to optimize operations.
5. Conducts field inspections to determine site requirements, and to ensure the quality standards are well implemented throughout the project
6. Prepares and organizes weekly meetings with his/her staff on pending matters, problems and action plans.
7. Maintains good work relationships with external parties, ensures proper follow-up and feedback on requests and complaints.
8. Prepares, monitors, and adjusts the operational budget.
9. Implements health and safety procedures.
10. Ensures the team's abidance by the health, safety and hygiene procedures.
11. Coordinates with the concerned departments to secure the provision of needed material.
Requirements:
This position requires a university degree (B.B.A or B.E. is a plus), with 5 to 7 years of work experience in related field, M.B.A. is preferable
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
1. English and Arabic are a must
2. Proficient in MS Applications
3. Leading & Developing people
4. Problem Solving & Decision Making
5. Planning & Organizing
Required experience:
A Minimum of 5-6 years experience in operations management. |
