Position Profile: The position of Arabic Program Coordinator is a part time position but is also a very central function of the Centre for Language and Culture in the University of Wollongong in Dubai. The role of the APC supports the diversification of products available within the CLC by way of leading the efforts in designing courses for contractual purpose as well as the monitoring and promotion of the part time Arabic language programs. In addition, the role is also responsible for the organization of the Summer Arabic Intensive program. The role of the APC requires knowledge of classroom teaching, best practice in AFL/ASL and other areas of adult education and the ability to adapt information for local circumstances. Job Qualifications
Qualifications Required: * A higher education degree such as an MA or MEd a related field such as, Adult Education, AFL/ASL, or Second language teaching.* Bi-lingual fluency in Arabic and English.* Experience in AFL curriculum development.* Evidence of other teaching experience in areas of language education and training, such as industry or mainstream education would be considered favourably.
