An opportunity has arisen for a Podiatry Technician to join the Diabetic Footcare Clinic.
You will be responsible for providing footcare assistance involving instrumentation in the form of foot hygiene conducted on toe nails and skin surfaces of the foot on low-risk patients.
Requirements:
Accountabilities
• To provide basic foot care, including nail cutting, applying dressings, providing foot health education, foot wear advice and foot hygiene advice.
• To set up instruments and equipments, cleaning exam rooms, cleaning sterilizer and taking lower extremity X-rays, casting debridement and assisting in minor surgeries.
• To follow departmental policies, procedures and guidelines
• To take an active and effective role in patient education programmes.
• To maintain a safe and clean environment.
