THE POSITION

This position reports to the General Manager and is responsible for all the activities involved in the manufacture of lighting products and lighting control gear.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES

The person will be heading the Manufacturing Unit of the lighting division and is responsible for Production Planning & Control, Manpower planning, Materials Planning, Inventory control, Quality assurance and Process control. He is accountable for achieving the production targets as per the requirements of the company.

1. He should have working knowledge of high speed CNC precision power presses and carbide press tools & tool maintenance.
2. Design knowledge of carbide press tools, development of Jigs & Fixtures for process developments is added advantage
3. Should have worked with PLC controlled automatic lines and is capable of trouble shooting.
4. Exposure to lighting fixtures / sheet metal fabrication and powder coating lines is given preference
5. Candidates with exposure to trouble shooting and maintenance knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic controls & valves will be preferred.
6. Should have good knowledge of vendor development; materials and spares planning and sourcing
7. Should be a team leader, shall have good man management skills and should be self driven

THE PERSON.

Age should be around 35 years. He must follow uncompromising business ethics in order to protect the interest of the company.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Graduate / diploma holder in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering with knowledge Electrical or Lighting products manufacturing
• Should have exposure to CAD
• Must have atleast 10 years experience in a professionally managed engineering industry
• Exposure to ISO 9000 systems and procedures
• Hands on experience in MS Office.
