A recent project initiated by this diverse Group is to investigate and then implement the farming of yellow corn and/ or sorghum in rotation with oilseed in the Sudan.
This demanding position requires:
The establishment of a cross-functional project team
The identification of about 50 000 acres of suitable land
The conducting of feasibility studies
The planning, implementation and monitoring of a pilot project on about 5 000 acres of the land
The rolling out of the successful pilot study to the rest of the land
The handing over of the project as a viable commercial farm to a management team

Requirements:
We require a seasoned project manager within an agricultural context who has at least an undergraduate degree (such as a B.Sc.) and preferably a postgraduate qualification in Agronomy.
Considerable knowledge is required related to the large-scale production of grains such as corn/ maize or sorghum as well as knowledge and experience of state-of-the-art irrigation systems (including pivots and sprinklers).
Applicants must have managed a previous project (s) of similar size and also have at least 15 years of professional farming experience with 7 years of it in grain production, planning and management in a harsh environment.
