. Manage relationships with a variety of media including tech, business, local, and vertical and across media types including blogs, online, print and broadcast.
2. Work closely with marketing, product development and engineering team.
3. Assist with company blog and company representation on other social media outlets.
4. Provide some industry analyst relations support.
5. Manage and attend media related events.
6. Manage speaking opportunities and awards programs.
7. Serve as company spokesperson on occasion.
8. support product launches, marketing campaigns and partner programs.
9. Develop and implement consumer promotional campaigns.
10. Drafting and editing press releases and by-line articles to high standard consistent with company messaging and editorial guidelines.
11. Developing and maintaining good working relationships with the media - including local and national newspapers, trade magazines, radio, and television - and company's spokespeople.
12. Responding to enquiries from reporters.
13. Reviewing editorial schedules and managing process to ensure the firm appears in all key features.
14. Assisting with organization of press briefings, media training, photography, and press attendance at company seminars.
15. Publicizing high-profile media coverage on company website and maintaining the PR site on company's intranet.
16. Provide counsel to senior executives on messaging and media relations; host media interviews.
17. Write and distribute company announcements.
18. Assist in managing external PR agency activity as appropriate.
Requirements:
1. Bachelors degree in Communications or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant PR experience.
3. Demonstrated success in implementing media campaigns
4. Demonstrated success in securing media coverage in a variety of outlet types.
5. Demonstrated track record of developing successful working relationships with reporters
6. Experience in developing successful creative consumer campaigns.
7. Experience working closely with senior level executives.
8. Excellent written and oral communication skills (samples required).
9. Ability to manage multiple projects and demands at a time.
10. Excellent writing skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
11. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop relationships and communicate with all levels of management. |
