The Purchasing Business Analyst is responsible for helping management achieve least total cost objectives through the application of lean principles in Purchasing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead cross-functional work teams to facilitate least total cost improvements.
• Develop, maintain, and report on departmental scorecard, metrics to senior leadership.
• Develop and maintain spend management reporting and analysis
• Identify and make recommendations on strategies to effectively manage the supply-base.
• Implement and manage strategic supplier risk management program.
• Maintain a working knowledge of market conditions for all strategic commodities and materials purchased by the company.
• Map business processes as applicable to facilitate business improvement.
• Develop and maintain good supplier relationships to support the company's cost controls and asset utilization.
• Facilitate supplier participation in improvement activities.
• Facilitate the creative resolution of supply issues while maintaining proper financial controls to prevent/minimize disruptions in supply.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.
• Continuously scour the marketplace to identify best in class purchase processes and practices.
• Aid in the negotiation and development of procurement strategy and programs.
• Ethically work with existing suppliers and potential suppliers to ensure their fair treatment.
• Purchase materials and services for other department directed by management.
Requirements:
REQUIREMNTS
• 2+ years direct or related experience in purchasing
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or a related field. M.B.A. preferred.
• CPSM, CPM., APP, or Lean Practitioner training a bonus.
• Must have exceptional communication skills, excellent organizational ability, business savvy and proven problem-solving ability.
• Must understand database structures and strong analytical skills. |
