Supporting Regional Director and Business Unit Managers to determine and implement a range of contracting solutions for new and amendments to existing contracts that protect and enhance the commercial and corporate requirements of the organisation.
Responsibilities:
• Liaise with tender team and group to undertake risk, legal and insurance reviews and preparation and pricing of commercial offerings for tenders and new business proposals.
• Negotiate and agree client contracts, amendments and remuneration mechanisms including development of contract incentive schemes.
• Preparation and negotiation of contract variations.
• Ensure that the work carried out is in accordance with the company's policies, processes and procedures.
• Support the Regional Director and Business Unit Managers by ensuring the commercial and administration requirements for each contract are understood and complied with.
• Ensure that periodic contract reviews are undertaken and that specific issues, risks and opportunities requiring management are understood and communicated.
• Participate in the selection and evaluation of subcontractors and the preparation and award of subcontracts.
• Identify and foster the adoption of best practice commercial mechanisms, models and techniques throughout the business
• Provide commercial leadership through the delivery of proactive support to Regional Director and Business Unit Managers in delivering Petrofac business targets with respect to existing and new business.
• Ensure that all contracted third party activity is in full compliance with client and company requirements with respect to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality.
• Develop strong and effective relationships with internal and external clients and other support functions both within PTS and the wider group.
• Implement and update recording mechanisms and registers.
• Support an environment where personnel can share knowledge, develop and learn and instil a culture of flexibility, innovation and willingness for continuous improvement
• Provide general ad-hoc support and advice on commercial and contractual matters.
• Assist other regions with commercial issues on an ad hoc, as required basis.
Requirements:
Qualifications and Desired Requirements
• Commercial experience in oil and gas operations in the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa
• Relevant degree
• Firm negotiator with an excellent knowledge of oil and gas contract T&C's
• Highly effective interpersonal skills with excellent oral and written communication
• Computer literate, office packages working knowledge essential
• Be an effective team player, communicator and be able to work with minimal supervision whilst producing high quality, accurate documentation. An eye for detail is essential as is commercial awareness and ability to ensure agreements placed add value to the organisation. |
