Senior Contract Specialist

My client is an Information Technology (IT) and business process services provider. They offer a broad range of services from IT strategy setting and IT consultancy. They require a Senior Contracts specialist to work with both clients and vendors. Reporting directly to the Contract Manager, the main responsibilities will be;

Performs risk assessments and develops risk mitigation plans including innovative solutions in alignment with contracts and business strategies.

Prepares, drafts, reviews and processes non-routine correspondence of a contractual and business nature in support of a contract.

Assists the internal and external legal counsel in the documentation and analysis of claims.

Negotiates independently bringing successful closure to contractual assignments such as those involving contract formation, changes, and disputes.

Incumbents are responsible for activities related to the planning, development, negotiation and administration of company services or products contracts with external customers.

Administers contracts in accordance with company and customer policies and procedures.

Provides interpretation and analysis of contract documents.

Reviews and evaluates customer requests for changes in or revisions of contracts that involve technical specifications, cost, or schedule impact on the company.

Ensures the proper execution of contract requirements, preparation of statement of works authorization for work, completion of contracted works, etc.

Negotiates contract modifications, follow-on quotations, revisions, specifications, terms and conditions with customers.

Participates in or coordinates the preparation and review of bid packages including work specifications, schedule commitments, cost objectives, and contract terms and conditions.

Requirements:
Candidate Criteria:

Possesses extensive understanding of contract law, regulation and practices relevant to IT industry environment and relationships

Understanding of client and vendor contracts including service level agreements

Degree educated with at least 5 - 10 IT/Telecoms experience

Fluent written and spoken English

Strong negotiation skills

Excellent communication skills
