Our client is a provider of engineering, construction, and project management. With a global presence and a reputation for delivering exceptional results on the most demanding and complex of projects they are a true market leader.
They are currently working on one of the most ambitious construction projects in the world and have a requirement for a Senior Project Controls Engineer.
The successful candidate for this job shall perform cost estimating, analysis, and control activities. Performs schedule development, maintenance, and monitoring activities. Supports project organizational and administrative activities, when delegated. Supervises and provides technical direction for cost engineering and/or planning/scheduling activities, when delegated. Ensures work is completed as scheduled. Identifies trends for management attention.
POSITION DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assigned to Project Controls Group to check the BOQ and help in the Cash Flow Development, invoicing, quantity tracking, P6 Schedule update, and quantity tracking and reconciliation of BOQ quantities.
Specific tasks include but not limited to the following:
• Develop work cash flow by contract. Track progress, update schedules and expenditures against planned to ensure compliance with BCWS.
• Responsible for the development and maintenance of Project Code of Accounts and Total Installed Cost (TIC) Program.
• Development/Implementation of a quantity tracking database for measuring earned progress.
• Review invoices for accuracy and completeness. Monitor costs, quantities and ratios for progress reporting.
• Coordinate project forecast and implement change management.
• Close communication with contract administration to resolve contractor invoicing/claims related issues.
• Primavera Schedule development and updating.
SKILLS:
College/University Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
Minimum of ten years experience in project management in heavy civil and/or industrial sectors.
Must have managerial experience in business planning and possess significant leadership and collaborative skills.
Middle East experience is a plus but not mandatory.
