STS (Systems, Technologies and Services) are the team responsible for IT application management. STS looks after the SAP suite, Retail Pro, Fastrack and many other applications for the Al Futtaim group of companies. We are currently looking for a SAP Basis consultant to work from our offices in Dubai.Your duties will include the following:* Pro-actively monitoring, trouble-shooting and tuning of the systems at the SAP and at database levels.* Install, upgrade and maintain SAP and related servers, printers, third party hardware/software.* Implementation of OSS notes, kernel patches and support packages.* Execution of transports throughout the SAP landscapes. * Providing technical and architectural support to other departments and project teams.* Working with appropriate resources to ensure that the maximum possible system availability is achieved.* Performing recoveries from both online and offline backups.* Assisting other areas with Technical change to include management of Basis transactions and functions in support of any change effort* Design, implement and test SAP backup and recovery procedures* Monitor and work to improve overall SAP system performance* Provide technical assistance to SAP developers and functional configuration experts

Requirements:
To apply for this role you should have the following skills and experiences:* A bachelor's degree in information technology or related field* Minimum of 8 years of experience as SAP Basis administrator in AIX and DB2 environment* Work experience in the SAP R/3, CRM, BI and Enterprise Portal* Knowledge of SAP solution manager* Good Analytic and communication skills* Knowledge in problem/change management process
