MEA HQ Regional Project Manager
PURPOSE OF THIS JOB:
The MEA Regional Project Managers enable the delivery of leading Microsoft solutions in key opportunities across the MEA region. They do this by leading the MEA Services bids on these opportunities and by managing the resultant delivery projects.
The regional Project Managers are responsible for ensuring delivery of the agreed solution scope, to the required quality, on schedule, within budget and to customer satisfaction. They work closely with the MEA Architects, the subsidiary consulting teams and Microsoft Partners to make this happen. The end result of their efforts is an increase in the successful implementation of lighthouse solutions across the region, with accelerated adoption of Microsoft technology and improved use by our Customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
On Key MEA Services opportunities / projects
• Bid Management: Lead the response to selected opportunities - by Reviewing RFIs, RFPs, and other customer requests; Assembling and leading the bid response team; and together with this team Investigating and work-shopping context and requirements with customers; Formulating appropriate project plans and estimations to deliver the solutions; Creating the necessary proposals; and Presenting / evangelising these back to customers.
• Project Management: Lead the delivery of selected projects - by Planning the projects in respect of scope and deliverables, work breakdown and task network, phasing and milestones, dependencies and assumptions, roles and responsibilities, teaming and staffing, project approach and standards, risk mitigation, sizing, scheduling and costing; and on an ongoing basis throughout the projects Driving execution; Managing team and contractors; Tracking progress; Formulating corrective actions; Updating plans; and Giving regular professional progress reports to all key stakeholders (Customer, Partner and Microsoft).
• Programme Management: Guide the delivery of a portfolio of managed projects - by Reviewing plans with the Project Managers; Reviewing project status on a regular basis with the Project Managers; and Mentoring the Project Managers in the execution of their projects.

Job Qualifications
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
An ideal candidate would have the following experience, skills and characteristics:
• Degree in Computer Science / Engineering
• Professional Project Management certification
• 7+ years experience implementing IT solutions, at least 4 of these in Project Management for Microsoft solutions
• Professional Project Management certification (PMI, PMP, Prince2)
• Experience across the full IT systems life-cycle, including: envisioning, design and planning, development, testing and stabilization, deployment, operations and maintenance
• Experience working in, consulting to and leading large scale IT project teams
• Broad across-the-board knowledge of Microsoft products, technologies and architecture
• Deep knowledge and understanding of Project Management and the supporting approaches, methodologies, frameworks and tools (such as the Microsoft Solutions Framework, MSDM and MS@Work)
• Proven ability to engage with customers, understand their business problems, structure suitable solution projects and guide them to the right course of action
