The Traffic Manager is responsible for the internal scheduling of work throughout the agency utilising our network software system. The Traffic Manager opens all jobs entering the agency and assigns a step by step schedule of completion to each of those jobs as it is entered. Under the direction of the Executive Creative Director, the Traffic Manager coordinates movement of all jobs through all agency departments (Account Management, Media Creative and Production).
The role is responsible for but not limited to the following:
• Opens all agency jobs
• Reviews daily work schedule with Executive Creative Director
• Alters work scheduling should jobs change
• Revises changes and publishes for distribution to the agency
• Publishes a weekly production status report ensuring the priorities are met first, updates and distributes throughout the agency
• Expedites crisis jobs to run concurrently along side the planned schedules
• Notifies Account Managers when it is necessary to contact clients for material, information that is required to complete scheduled projects
• Conducts weekly traffic meetings with key departments and individuals. Updates the Management team of schedule progress
• Regulates and manages timings of projects allowing sufficient time for conceptual work and execution
• Assists with billing
• Forwards completed jobs to Account Management, closes job and arranges for the accounting
• Maintains updated agency sample files
• Maintains current computer skills related to daily job functions
• Works with Media to obtain publications specifications and extensions where necessary
• Obtains quotes from art and photo suppliers, freelance and other vendors and reviews with the production manager
Requirements:
• Have a presence of personality to be able to influence all levels of colleagues throughout the agency in order to be able to achieve the responsibilities of the role
• Being able to correctly route all work so that it is completed in the required timescales
• Being able to utilise the time of the Creative team to the optimum level
• Being able to cause minimal disruption to scheduled work when changes occur
• Holder of a University Degree or Diploma
• A minimum of 8 years proven previous experience in a similar role
• Previous ME experience is an advantage for this position
