JOB PURPOSE
To process high volume warranty claims originating from all Al Futtaim Motors branches, ensuring minimum amounts due from principals. The Warranty Administrator will handle all franchises in the company, gaining exposure to a wide range of products and automotive companies.
JOB CONTENT:
LOGISTICS
• Receiving job cards from branches and acknowledging receipt
• Returning job cards to branches after warranty processing
• Ensuring minimum back-log of unprocessed job cards
QUALITY CONTROL
• Check quality of job cards received from branch in terms of warrant ability of vehicle and components, operation numbers, time claims, failure detail, etc
• Ensuring excellent quality of warranty processing to minimise rejection and outstanding amounts and to maximise repayment from Principals
• Providing approval for major component and policy warranties
PROCESSING
• Identifying failed part numbers correctly and recording on warranty claims
• Establishing correct problem and remedy codes (plus explanation) and operation number
• Ensuring all parts and consumables are recorded on the warranty claims
• Ensuring there are no financial discrepancies between online system and actual claim sent. Requirement to issue warranty claim number, thus completing processing cycle
• Reprocessing of rejected claims
ACCOUNT RECEIVABLES
• Receive credit note from Principal and process the same to close (balance) outstanding accounts
RECORDS AND STATIONERY
• Control inventory of warranty material, i.e. Warranty booklets, warranty tags, flat rate manuals
• Liaison and dispatch of warranty materials to branches
• Maintenance (and periodically dispose) of warranty claim records
• Upload flat rate manuals CD in SAP system
• Analyse warranty data & results; providing recommendations for improvement
TRAINING
• Analyse and identify training needs from all branches
POLICIES
• Review existing manufacturer and distributor warranty policies, issuing necessary amendments
• Issue new policies where necessary
• Periodically comparing and reviewing manufacturers warranty terms and rates, to initiate rate negotiation
Requirements:
You will have the following experience to be considered for this position:
• 3 - 5 years experience within a major automotive manufacture or dealership/distributorship as a warranty administrator
• You will preferably have a Degree/Diploma in engineering
• You will have a solid understanding of the Automotive/Mechanical Engineering industries
• You will have knowledge of automobile mechanisms; including knowledge of flat rate manuals and electronic part catalogues
• Good computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint
• You will have excellent typing speed and accuracy, paying attention to detail at all times
• Strong English communication skills (verbal & written)
• The ability to manage time effectively and able to multitask.
• You will ideally need a transferable International/UAE driving license. |
